Godot
Godot Game Template
This template ships the boring shell: main menu, options, pause. You drop gameplay into a project that already boots to a screen. Use it when the official demos taught you a loop and you still do not want to rebuild menus every jam.

- Engine
- Godot Engine
- Language
- GDScript
- Genre
- arcade
- License
- MIT
Who it is for
- Beginners starting a real Godot project after the demos
- Jam teams that waste a day on pause menus
- People who want a MIT menu shell, not a full genre kit
What you can learn
- How a Godot project boots into menus
- Options and pause as reusable scenes
- Where to attach your first gameplay scene
Clone and run
- Install Godot 4.
- Clone Maaack/Godot-Game-Template and Import.
- Play to confirm menus. Replace the placeholder gameplay scene with yours.
It is a template, not a game. There is no campaign. The license is MIT. Read the repo’s credits if you ship with the included addons.
